Director of CBPF

Ronald Cintra Shellard

Works in the field of High Energy Physics, with emphasis on the study of cosmic radiation, which now takes the name of Astroparticle Physics. During the 90 participated in the DELPHI experiment at CERN, dedicated to the study of electron-positron collisions at high energies. Today is one of the leaders of the Pierre Auger Observatory, a collaboration that aims to measure cosmic rays with energies 100 times greater than at the LHC.

Alberto Correa dos Reis

Expertise in High Energy Physics, with emphasis on Physics of Heavy Flavours and their connections with hadronic physics. Participated in the experiments E769, E791 and E831, at Fermilab, USA, where he conducted studies on the production and decay of hadrons containing charm quark, as well as studies on the properties of light scalar mesons. Currently a member of the LHCb collaboration, at CERN, where he conducts studies on the violation of the combined symmetry of charge conjugation - parity (CP) in decays of mesons D and B. Maintains collaboration with physicists at USP and ITA in studies of at three bodies hadronic interactions.

Bartolomeu Donatila Bonorino Figueiredo

Works with analytical solutions to the general Heun equation and the confluent Heun equations (just confluent, doubly confluent, and biconfluente triconfluente). Also considers possible applications of these solutions to physics problems. Some results can be found in the works published since 2002.
