The Brazilian Center for Research in Physics hosts one of the longest-running graduate programs in Physics in Brazil. Created in 1962, the program now counts with 100 students from all over Brazil, from various countries in South America, as well as from other continents. Nearly all institutions of higher education in Physics in Brazil have a CBPF graduate in their faculty.
All lines of research at CBPF, both experimental and theoretical, offer an opportunity for students who wish to apply for M.Sc. or Ph.D. degrees. Foreign students can apply for scholarships offered by CBPF through the main Brazilian Funding Agencies.

CBPF also runs a Professional Masters Degree program aimed at producing highly qualified personnel to work in the industry and in any professional endeavors that require advanced technological solutions. This program has already resulted in several requests for patents by students and researchers.
CBPF still offers a number of positions for Post-Docs and visiting researchers from all over the world. Financial support can be obtained through the various Brazilian Funding Agencies (CNPq, CAPES, FAPERJ). Candidates are encouraged to get in touch directly with CBPF faculty and staff to enquire about the available opportunities and financial support.
